2021 Scholarship Recipients
Emily Rusting
Charlotte McAdam
Emily Rusting, also graduating from Redwood High School, will receive a $1,000 Women's Club Community Service scholarship for her volunteer work at Marin County Youth Court, a peer-led weekly restorative justice program; Every Voice, Every Vote, a civic engagement group; Seed Releaf, a food-delivery service for people who have been isolated by Covid; and other programs through her synagogue. We wish her the best in her mission "to repair the world." She will attend UCLA in the fall.
Charlotte McAdam, who is in the Pathways Program at Tamiscal High School and College of Marin, will receive a $1,000 Women's Club Community Service scholarship. She has been active in Marin County Youth Court, at Aegis Retirement Center, and in the Student Advisory Group at Tamiscal. She plans to become a nurse and will attend Barry University in Florida.
Loughlin Browne
Loughlin Browne, a senior at Redwood High School, will receive the $2,000 Kimberly Powell Memorial Scholarship for her volunteer work with Minors Make Change, the get-out-the-vote group she founded in 2017; The Marin County Youth Commission, including two years as chair; tutoring at Bridge the Gap College Prep; and performing music at Aegis Retirement Center. She will attend Columbia University in the fall.
